Hi! My name is Oriane, I am Associate Brand Manager for the Veet® brand based in the US. I will be sharing my personal experience as a young marketer, providing you with (hopefully) exciting tips and thoughts about my role and the company.
My career path is unusual… I started at Reckitt Benckiser in France as an intern. Previously, I had also been a marketing intern in the music and the luxury goods industry. Prior to graduating from Business School, I decided to do my last internship in the Consumer Goods industry as I wanted to benefit from a more traditional challenging marketing experience.
I applied at Reckitt Benckiser in this context, eager to face more challenges and work in a competitive and rewarding environment. I was also thrilled about the many opportunities we were given to work abroad at any time in our career… Driven by the ultimate wish to start my career abroad, I set myself clear goals and worked hard to achieve them.
It finally paid off when at the very end of my internship, my application was sent to the US and after a few rounds of interviews I was offered a position as an ABM! Interestingly enough, I was the first of a number of French interns that applied for a first job abroad… and one of them is now an ABM in Spain!
