My global RB opportunities – part 2

To carry on from my previous blog, I will continue by highlighting more of the global opportunities I have experienced during my time at Reckitt Benckiser.

3^rd Opportunity: Move To RB South Africa

Another memorable day of my life, I was busy at work and my boss called me in his office and had a case of deja vu (read previous blog) as I saw the Regional Director sitting with him. I thought to myself this seems familiar, I greeted both of them and started to wonder what they wanted to discuss. The Regional Director told me he had a very good news for me. One more time my excitement levels were at their peak. He announced that they want to move me to RB South Africa as a Factory Manager. Wow! Shocked! Amazed! This is what I used to dream for, another fantastic opportunity, I could not control my feelings and accepted the offer like I was waiting for it.

I arrived South Africa at 7:00pm and the next day got to the factory. The factory was really good but I could already notice a lot of improvement areas. To cut a long story short, I made plan of what we needed to do, had a meeting with my team, set targets and in 6 months I we were there.

4^th Opportunity: Global Supply Representative

This time, my next opportunity happened in a very short time, I realised it when my Area Director told me that he’s very happy with my performance and the results. He motivated me further by saying he needed my help to improve other areas of the business as well and for this he promoted me to Global Supply Representative. Wow! OMG! One more time, another amazing opportunity and very much a global opportunity. I gladly accepted the offer.

Again, I set my targets in parallel to the target I have for my Factory Manager position and am trying my level best to complete all the targets on time and successfully.

So my friends,  I hope my experiences have shown without any shadow of doubt Reckitt Benckiser is a place that can really make your career fly with exciting global opportunities. It’s a place that gives you the reward of all your hard work in a very short space of time.
