RB digs in with the Yorkshire Wildlife Trust to maintain a nature reserve

As you may have read in my Tweets recently, October 23 was the New Technologies Group away day.
We visited a nature reserve and spent the day helping the Yorkshire Wildlife Trust and the North Carr Conservation Group with maintenance of the reserve.

It was a day of extremely tough manual labour – its hard to dig up the roots of invasive pond plants when your movement is restricted by being waist deep in mud – but it felt good to have achieved something worthwhile.
It will be good to return to the site next summer to see how the rare, indigenous wildlife has flourished as a result of our work.

Here is a newsletter we have received from The NCCG about the day.

Career:  I began work at Reckitt Benckiser in July 2005 as a temporary Aerosols Technician in the Hull Scientific Services Group. In September 2007 I joined the Graduate Scheme in the Nurofen Category Extension team. During that year I developed a new variant to Nurofen Express and produced an internal website for benchmarking competitor analgesics products.

In September 2008 I joined the New Technologies Group on the Airwick team. Since then I have worked on various approaches to improving the performance of air fresheners. I have also given my time to carrying our projects for the NTG Nurofen, Vanish and Finish teams.
