Joao – Supply

Supply Trainee

Name: João
Nationality: Brazilian
Where I work for RB: Supply – Brazil
Education: I gratuated in Chemical Engineering at the end of 2008 from UFRGS, in Porto Alegre, Brazil.
Career: Before joining RB team, I had some experiences on petrochemical area. My first industry opportunity was a R&D internship on Ipiranga Petroquimica, in South Brazil Petrochemical Complex. After that, I spent one year as a Production Planning and Control intern for Refap, an oil refinery from Petrobras. These two opportunities gave me the chance to understand clearly the petrochemical chain process, and the most important, chance to understand big companies business and live its routine.

After finishing my graduation, I was looking for a job that could challenge me, and the chance to work as a RB Trainee was certainly a huge opportunity! After a criterious selection and some travels to São Paulo (at the time I was still living on Porto Alegre), in July 2009 I was already part of RB Trainees team.

My first project as a Supply Trainee was the “SKU Reduction”, a portfolio harmonizing project. After that, I´ve made some Customer Service short projects, and nowadays I´m working on operations area.

On this short period of time RB gave me uncountable opportunities of development, trainings and, of course, ask me to deliver. It´s amazing how fast things are happening, fast just as RB works…
