RB - The masters of innovation.

Innovation is a widely used term across the professional industry, but what exactly is it?
‘The creation of new ideas or things, forward looking and ahead of current thinking.’
RB takes pride at being at the forefront of innovation, 40% of our net revenue is generated from products launched in the last 3 years. At RB, innovation leads our performance; we encourage bold thinking and creative ideas. However, innovation is much more than just thinking of new product ideas, it is utilised in every role, whether that be formulating solutions in the test labs or exploring new research tools.

Education: I joined RB as part of a year long internship in June. I am studying Industrial Design at Loughborough University and saw working at RB for a year an opportunity not to miss.  As a creative individual I was instinctively attracted to RB’s status as a company that thrives from innovation and creativity. I was looking to gain valuable experience in a successful business environment whilst developing my skills as a designer.  The opportunity to create and design new product concepts for such a globally successful company was too rewarding to turn down.
Within my year I will be working across a broad range of stages in the design process from idea generation to final concept renders. Reckitt Benckiser is a great place to start a career, allowing people in my position to really get stuck in and contribute. I am returning to complete my degree in September 2011 and will certainly return a more experienced, skilled and confident person… all thanks to RB.
