My journey with RB began when I was selected for the Summer Internship Programme from our campus (Xavier Institute of Management). I had a pretty interesting project which required a lot of travelling to small towns all over West Bengal (which happens to be familiar territory for me). I had to create a model to attract consumers in these rural towns by setting up stalls, making announcements and creating buzz about RB products. My work during the internship paid rich dividends as I was called for an interview for the position of Management Trainee. By this time I had already started feeling a sense of pride to be associated with the RB brands. Every little village/town that I had visited showed great respect for brands like Dettol, Harpic and Mortein even if they did not use all these products. Sales and Marketing

Name: Binayak Bose
Nationality: Indian
Where I work in RB: Sales and Marketing in India
Education: I am an Economics graduate from Presidency College, Kolkata. Having completed college, I worked as a Brand Associate in Rediffusion YR for a year before pursuing Post Graduate Diploma in Management from Xavier Institute of Management, Bhubaneswar, majoring in Sales and Marketing.
Career: Started working at Rediffusion YR (Advertising) with client servicing – looking after the communication needs of Airtel. Then I decided to pursue management studies and earned a Summer Internship with RB. That is the time I really got to learn about RB culture – performance oriented, straight forward, achievement driven. A lot of responsibilities were given to me during my project where I had to create a model to attract rural consumers. This internship resulted in me getting a Pre-Placement Offer and here I am – Management Trainee – Sales and Marketing!

For the next 10 months I shall have to go through all the stages in Sales before I become an Area Sales Manager (hopefully). Currently, I am doing my Territory Sales In-charge stint and have completed the Distributor’s Sales Representative and Pilot Sales Representative stint.
