Adapting to change to win against Pakistan's floods

Last week I talked about how Reckitt Benckiser Pakistan had swiftly reacted to the recent flood hazards that has struck the country and what the organization and its employees are doing to play their role in society by aiding the community to survive and rebuild their lives.

This week however I shall be talking about how Reckitt Benckiser Pakistan as a business has adapted to this abrupt change in environment to ensure the business concern muddles through the heavy storms and difficult times.

Once the storms were pertinent, sales teams warned all employees, distributors and stakeholders beforehand and were advised for a swift evacuation from their respective cities.
RB stocks were kept at higher positions to avoid damages at all distributions and employees were geographically shifted to safe locations.

Where I work for RB: Pakistan – Sales
Career: I had the chance of working at Unilever Pakistan after my BBA degree as Assistant Brand Manager for the Drinks Category, which I soon after left to pursue an MBA degree. I joined Reckitt Benckiser as a fresh MBA graduate in June 2009 and have immersed myself into the organization since then.

RB is an organization where everyday is different and significantly distinct from the other in its own ways. One experiences a different flavour and blend of exciting innovations, entrepreneurial management, fast paced work environment, inter functional placements and all in all tremendous learning at RB. I have found the developmental opportunities at RB to be tremendous and highly satisfying. I got an earlier than expected promotion as Area Sales Manager after 9 months in RB as a Management Trainee and am relishing the inebriety of RB’s fantastic culture and work experience.
