<p>Here on the blog we have tried to give readers a little bit of  ourselves.</p>
<p>We&#8217;ve opened up a window on what life is like working at RB and have been  happy to answer your questions, direct you to interesting and relevant  information and try to show you what you could expect if you decided to take up  the Reckitt Benckiser opportunity.</p>
<p>Since we launched the blog in April 2009 we have had 45 different writers  from all corners of the company. We&#8217;ve had blogs written from India while our  employees were visiting <strong><a title="Save The Children" href="http://www.myrbopportunity.com/2010/04/23/social-responsibility-in-action-another-amazing-day-at-the-brick-kiln-factories" target="_blank">local initiatives with Save the Children</a></strong>,  we&#8217;ve seen our <strong><a title="Campus Brand Manager" href="http://www.myrbopportunity.com/2010/11/02/campus-brand-manager-flip-flop-pandemonium" target="_blank">Campus Brand Managers</a></strong> start to blog about their on-campus  activities and we&#8217;ve had an array of guest bloggers &#8211; including our very own CEO Bart Becht  who wrote about <a title="Global Entrepreneurs" href="http://www.myrbopportunity.com/2010/06/18/building-a-company-of-global-entrepreneurs" target="_blank"><strong>Building a Company of Global Entrepreneurs</strong></a></p>
<p>The aim of this blog was always to show readers what opportunity means to  RB, and to highlight what ambitious, tenacious individuals can achieve  here.</p>
<p>And our bloggers &#8211; graduates, management trainees as well as those with  well-established careers &#8211; were charged with showing you this world, bringing it  to life and sharing their thoughts and experiences.</p>
<p>Now the blog has been recognised for it&#8217;s &#8216;outstanding achievement on an  international scale&#8217;. And we are delighted! my RBopportunity has been handed the number one spot in the <a title="Excellence awards" href="http://www.excellence-awards.eu/awards" target="_blank"><strong>European  Excellence Awards 2010</strong></a> for <a title="Excellence awards" href="http://www.excellence-awards.eu/review" target="_blank"><strong>Best Corporate Media Blog</strong></a>.</p>

<p>We still see our blog as very much in its infancy. We have lots to tell you  and lots to share. This award is a fabulous recognition for the hard work from all our  bloggers as well as the readers who have made it such a great success.</p>

This was a great achievement for Reckitt Benckiser as the Caxtons are the most prestigious print advertising and newspaper awards.</p>
<p>When the ad was launched it received a lot of positive feedback from online commentators who recognised it&#8217;s smart and timely approach: <a href="http://community.brandrepublic.com/blogs/newagencymodel/archive/2009/01/25/goodbye-bush-by-veet.aspx">Brand Republic</a>, brand and business blogger <a href="http://brandstrategy.wordpress.com/2009/01/21/goodbye-bush-says-veet-in-cheeky-ad/">Ruth Mortimer </a>and various <a href="http://adhack.com/community/blog/james-sherrett/goodbye-bush-great-veet-print-ad">bloggers </a>all recognised the winning simplicity of the ad.</p>
<p>One of the awards judges said: <em>“The ad made me smile. I remember thinking how strange it was to see an ad in a newspaper that made me actually feel something.<br />
&#8220;In fact I was talking to my Mum the other day and she mentioned she’d seen the Veet ad, ‘the one with the Bush slogan’. And even after disappointing her that it wasn’t one of mine, she still thought it was very clever. So there you have it. Veet it is.” </em></p>

<p>As you probably know, market in Russia includes also Ukraine, Belorussia and CIS countries. CIS market is developing one but RB gained success.</p>
<p>So I have some news from CIS countries:</p>
<p>Last year Azerbaijan started from the new event: Brand Award Ceremony 2008.</p>
<p>This prize was awarded to most popular brands of goods, services, companies and organizations that triggered the highest interest and gained consumers&#8217; popularity during the year. This prize marks success in creating a wide range of brands, from large-scale goods through to financial services and corporate image.</p>
<p>The result of 8 months of internet polling was the participating in the poll of nearly 5,000 respondents from 50 countries around the globe and 30% of pollers cast their votes outside Azerbaijan. So amongst 35 nominations the winners in 2 nominations were Nurofen and Calgon.</p>
<p>Such events can show us the result of our daily work, the common cooperation of all the departments: every person in the company is involved in this process and I know this is not our last, but our latest awards.<br />
In Russia the Product of the Year 2008 was Vanish and Nurofen in Healthcare category. Looking forward to 2009 events!</p>
