Sam – New Technology Group

Placement Student

Name: Sam Townshend
Nationality: British
Where I work for RB: Hull, UK

Education: I am currently Studying for a BA in Industrial Design and Technology at Loughborough University. It is a 3 year course with an extra year in industry between year 2 and 3. I was looking for experience in a large company that successfully designs products that sell to millions all over the world, and what better company than Reckitt Benckiser. I have been in the New Technology Group for 10 months now working on 6 of RB’s Power brands. My time has been mainly focused on Dettol, Vanish and Finish and I have had many great opportunities to work at different stages of the concept design process. I will finish my placement here in July 2010 and return to university for my final year.
